Saint Patrick’s day celebrations in Nottingham city centre on March 17. The weather was windy, wild and unpredictable so all the Irish felt at home for the national day of Ireland and with so many diaspora and 2nd/3rd generation Irish living in England it is a time to re-identify with their heritage. County Down had the responsibility of organising the parade this year and despite a dreadfully mumbling display from the current sheriff everyone carried on with great dignity on stage for the gift exchange. Here are a few visuals from the Parade that started up at Pelham Street into the Market Square in Nottingham. On a promotion note, I am an experienced press photographer & good with people of all denominations, ages and levels of cheeriness.
